OVARIAN CYSTS & UTERINE FIBROIDS

The body never creates without a reason...

Ovarian Cysts and Uterine Fibroids

Receiving a diagnosis of an ovarian cyst or a uterine fibroid can be frightening.

Suddenly, it can feel as though all your attention becomes focused on that word, that measurement, that report.

How big is it?
Will it change?
Will I need treatment?
What about my fertility?
What does this mean for my body?

These are understandable questions.

But a diagnosis does not define the whole person — and this is where my work begins.

I do not replace your doctor.

I Work on Women’s Health

I am a Midwife and have been working in the field of women’s health for over twenty years.

My work is rooted in my knowledge of female physiology, the experience I have gained over the years, and my observation of the woman as a whole.

I focus on aspects of health that fall within my professional scope, observing the person, her history, her habits, her menstrual cycle history, the way she experiences pain, her nutrition, sleep, movement, bowel function, daily energy, perceived stress, habits, relationship with her body, her lifestyle and the environment in which she lives.

I work with the person as a whole.

My role is to observe, listen, connect, understand and accompany..

The question that matters to me is: how are you?

An ovarian cyst or a fibroid does not define a woman.

Throughout our work together, I look at the person as a whole:

🌿 your menstrual history

🌿 your eating habits

🌿 your sleep

🌿 your movement

🌿 your perceived stress levels

🌿 your bowel function

🌿 your energy and everyday wellbeing

🌿 your lifestyle habits

🌿 your relationship with your body

🌿 your personal and family history

🌿 the environment in which you live

These elements are not used to determine the cause of an ovarian cyst or fibroid.

Instead, they help me understand the person in front of me and identify which aspects of her lifestyle and wellbeing may be supported through our work together.

I do not want to reduce a woman to:

“the cyst” or “the fibroid.”

I want to get to know the woman behind the diagnosis.

Her story.
Her habits.
Her rhythms.
Her challenges.
Her resources.

And together, create a personalised, gradual and realistic pathway, always respecting the boundaries of my professional scope.

The body is a complex system

Women’s health does not involve just one part of the body.

Menstrual health, nutrition, sleep, movement, metabolism, bowel function, stress, energy and quality of life are all aspects that can be considered together as part of a woman’s health journey.

This does not mean that an ovarian cyst or fibroid is caused by any of these factors.

It means that I choose not to look at a woman through a single parameter.

**A medical report describes one aspect of your situation.

Your story tells me much more about you.**

Your story deserves to be heard too

During your consultation, you will have the opportunity to talk about what is happening in your life.

How you live.
How you sleep.
How much space you make for yourself.
How you experience periods of stress.
How you take care of yourself.

We may also explore aspects of your personal and family history, your relationship with your body and the way you experience your emotions.

I do not use these elements to claim that they have caused a gynaecological condition.

I consider them part of the story of the person I am supporting.

Because caring for your health also means learning to listen to yourself with greater awareness.

How I work

Every journey with me begins with listening.

Before your consultation, I may ask you for photographs of your tongue, face and abdomen, together with other information about your history, habits and health journey.

The Tongue Protocol is one of the tools I use within my observational approach.

Tongue observation is not a diagnostic tool and does not replace medical consultations, tests, ultrasound scans or medical assessments.

I use it as one way of observing certain aspects over time and integrating those observations with all the information we gather throughout your journey.

Your Personalised Health Protocol

Based on your history and the information we gather, we create a personalised pathway focused on the aspects of health that fall within my professional scope.

Your protocol may include, where appropriate:

🌿 nutrition and meal organisation

🌿 sleep and daily rhythms

🌿 movement

🌿 breathing

🌿 stress management and self-awareness

🌿 your home environment

🌿 everyday habits

🌿 body awareness and observation

This is not about following the same list as everyone else.

Every woman has a different story and needs a pathway that reflects her own reality.

The goal is not to promise a result regarding your diagnosis

My goal is not to promise that a cyst will disappear or that a fibroid will become smaller.

My goal is to help you:

🌿 understand your body better

🌿 recognise the signals your body is showing you

🌿 identify aspects of your everyday life that may be improved

🌿 build habits that support your wellbeing

🌿 develop greater self-awareness

🌿 learn to care for yourself more deeply

**A symptom is information.

It is not the whole story.**

We continue to observe your body

The journey does not end with the first consultation.

We continue to gather information.

We continue to observe.

Over time, we can compare tongue photographs and other elements that form part of our work together.

We observe what changes and, when necessary, we adapt your Protocol.

Any ultrasound scans, laboratory tests and clinical assessments remain part of your medical and specialist healthcare pathway.

**The body changes.

Your needs change.
And your journey can evolve with you.**

A real story is not a promise

Over the years, I have supported many women with different health journeys.

One of them is Chiara, who has chosen to share her personal experience and the documentation relating to her journey.

Her story belongs to her.

It is not a prediction, a guarantee, or an indication that another woman will experience the same outcome.

You can listen to her story to understand her personal experience, while remembering that every woman and every health journey is different.

A diagnosis does not define who you are.

You may have a cyst.
You may have a fibroid.
You may have a report that concerns you.

But you are not that report.

If you are going through a gynaecological health journey, I can help you care for the woman behind that diagnosis.

I do not promise to change a diagnosis.

I support you in understanding your body better, caring for your health and becoming increasingly aware and engaged in your own health journey.

**I START WITH THE SYMPTOM,

BUT I WORK WITH THE WHOLE PERSON.**
